The whole experience of learning Chinese is really peculiar for me. Back in Mexico I was never interested in learning Chinese, mostly because it’s a language so different from mine, it seemed really hard and with no sense. Then I chose Taiwan for my exchange, and I came here with really basics of Chinese. I was really nervous the first days, because Taiwanese spoke to me really quickly. After one month we finally got our Chinese lessons, and I was completely into the way Chinese works, the pronunciation the calligraphy. I love every part of it. Right now I feel I’ve improved a lot every day I can understand more my classmates and my host family. Chinese is really hard but it’s a beautiful language that is totally worth it.
