📢 Studying in Taiwan is no longer just a dream for Chinese language learners! 📢

The Chinese Language Teaching Center at our university’s International College is actively promoting initiatives to encourage Chinese language students to pursue further studies in Taiwan. By utilizing a diverse range of support mechanisms and professional resources, the center aims to enhance students’ Chinese proficiency and academic adaptability, helping them seamlessly transition into Taiwan’s higher education system.

Recently, the center has carefully designed a series of events to provide comprehensive guidance on further education, course experiences, and application assistance. These initiatives help Chinese language students gain admission to top universities in Taiwan, laying a solid foundation for their academic development.

To begin, Professor You Chen, Deputy Vice President for International Affairs and Head of the International Student Division, will lead a session on “The Ultimate Guide to University Admissions for Foreign Students”, providing key insights into the application process for Taiwanese universities. Following this, Professor Huangzhou Chen, Dean of International Affairs, will conduct an “International Student Scholarship Briefing”, introducing various scholarship opportunities available at our university to ease financial burdens.

Additionally, the center has invited senior Vietnamese student Yu-An Xu, from the Graduate Institute of Educational Administration, along with several Chinese language teaching assistants, to assist students in understanding different academic programs and writing effective study plans, thereby increasing their chances of successful admission.

At the beginning of the semester, the center has also arranged a “University Course Experience”, allowing students to participate in courses taught by Professor Zhongming Zhuang, Professor Wenyu Chen, and Professor Zhankui Xu from the College of Management. This initiative helps students familiarize themselves with the learning environment in advance. Furthermore, outstanding Vietnamese alumnus Thi-Huong Le, a graduate of the Business Administration program, will lead a seminar titled “Study Abroad & Career Paths: Foreign Student Experience Sharing”, offering valuable insights into studying and career development in Taiwan, helping students better plan their futures.

Thanks to this well-rounded program of lectures, course experiences, and application guidance, five Vietnamese students from our center have confirmed their applications to the College of Management at National Pingtung University for the upcoming September intake, including one master’s student and four undergraduate students. Additionally, Thai student Pahobang from our center has been successfully admitted to the Graduate Institute of Technology Application and Human Resource Development at National Taiwan Normal University. These results demonstrate the center’s commitment and tangible success in supporting Chinese language students in their pursuit of higher education in Taiwan.

Moving forward, the center will continue to enhance its Chinese language education resources, providing a supportive learning environment for international students. By doing so, we aim to help more Chinese language learners successfully further their studies in Taiwan, opening up broader academic and career opportunities.
