中心源起 

民國103年8月1日起自原國立屏東教育大學及商業技術院合併為國立屏東大學後，整合本校高教、師培和技職三體系之術背景優勢，配合本校提升國際競爭力之願景對於內外語課務及事推動不遺餘力，並期達成「取之於地方用」的目標使師生、產業社會、國家均蒙其利，共創屏東榮景。

本中心成立於民國94年8月1日，原隸屬於本校人文社會學院，自民國109年2月1日起，為配合校務發展需要，本校酌作組織調整修正，將語言中心華語組之業務，調整至國際事務處華語教學中心，在歷任主的帶領之下穩健踏實地深耕在地語文教育。

本中心自成立以來，皆秉持「輔導學生、服務社區拓展國際文化交流」教育宗旨，齊心全力為每一位學生及社會與外籍人士提供親切周的服務。

成立宗旨有二：

一、推動本校華語文教學工作，加強外籍學生華語文應用能力、擴展其人文素養及國際觀瞻。

二、提供來臺華僑及外籍人士學習語、認識在地文化之機會與資源。

中心特色

本中心自成立以來，皆秉持「輔導學生、服務社區拓展國際文化交流」教育宗旨，齊心全力為每一位學生提供親切周的服務。

在華語文教學方面，我們的團隊專業熱忱；行政服務方面，所屬同仁熱心負責，協助學生排憂解難，並提供優質的學習園地。

本校景致清幽、學風多元，所處之臺灣南方屏東縣，處展現其友善樸實的人文民風、生活消費便利低廉，更使得本中心成為來臺外籍人士學習中文的絕佳選擇。

以「多元、創新、卓越」之辦學理念，提供本校學生、社區民眾及在職勞工提升知能之機會。

發揮大學推廣教育功能，結合校內外資源因應社會終身學習需求，提供華語學習的參與機會及擴大學習管道，藉以培養學生的學識、技能、心靈成長與健康體能，兼顧博雅專精並培育具備語言專業之社會人才。

Introduction to Chinese Language Center

     Following the merger of the former National Pingtung University of Education and the National Pingtung Institute of Commerce and Technology into the National Pingtung University (NPTU) in 2014, the strengths of our university's higher education, teacher training, and vocational systems have been integrated. In line with our university's vision of enhancing international competitiveness, every effort has been made to promote both domestic and foreign language courses and initiatives with utmost dedication.

     The Chinese Language Center (CLC) was established on August 1st, 2005, originally under the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at our university. Starting from February 1st, 2020, in response to the needs of academic development, the university underwent organizational adjustments. As a result, the responsibilities of Mandarin Chinese division of the Language Center were transferred to the Mandarin Chinese Teaching Center under the Office of International Affairs. Under the guidance of successive leaders, the center has steadfastly and steadily cultivated local language education.

     Since its establishment, the center has upheld the educational principles of "guiding students, serving the community, and expanding international cultural exchanges."  With collective efforts, we have wholeheartedly provided friendly and comprehensive services to each student, the community, and foreign individuals.
