Class Introduction
Our Chinese program follows a seasonal system, with each class enrolling at least 5 students. The course content is designed for foreign students studying Chinese in Taiwan, with 15 hours of classes per week. The classes are divided into beginner, basic, intermediate, and advanced levels.
The Mandarin teachers for our Chinese seasonal classes at NPTU Chinese Language Center all possess certification from the Ministry of Education for Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. Furthermore, they have extensive teaching experience and can tailor suitable lesson plans based on students' proficiency levels.
Admission Conditions
Applicant needs VISA for "Studying Chinese": Applicants are required to submit their applications two months before the start of the semester. After a review by Center, an Admission Approval will be sent to applicant by mail. Subsequently, applicants should prepare the necessary documents and apply for a VISA at the local Representative Office.
Applicants with valid resident documents: For applicants holding a valid residence permit in Taiwan can register online and pay tuition before the courses.
Note: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma. Applicants aged 16 and above but under 18 must have a guardian in Taiwan to accompany or assist them.
Tuition Fee
Each class costs NTD$ 27000.
Refund Policy
Tuition fees are refundable at 90% until the day before the start of classes. If withdrawal occurs before one-third of the course duration, a 50% refund is applicable; however, no refunds will be provided for withdrawals beyond one-third of the course duration.
"Refund" only includes tuition fees; other fees such as registration fees, insurance fees, and textbook fees are non-refundable.
Reminder: Please note that refunds from CLC can only be transferred to the applicant's financial institution account within Taiwan.

Remarks:
The application date, registration date, and class start and end dates will be extended by one day in case of national holidays or the declaration of work suspension due to typhoons, natural disasters, and similar events.
If the number of applicants reaches a minimum of 5 people or more, the class will be opened. If the number of applicants does not reach the enrollment quota, the center reserves the right to postpone enrollment or cancel the class.
In case of any adjustments, please refer to the notifications issued by center. The CLC reserves the right to make adjustments and issue notifications.
Note
- The processing times for VISA at each country's Representative Office vary. To ensure that applicants obtain you VISA in a timely manner, please prepare your documents early and submit your application.
- Upon receiving the Admission Approval, applicants are required to respond with their intention to enroll and complete the registration and payment within the specified deadline.
- All fees can be paid in cash or by credit card. For oversea applicants, payment must be made by credit card, and tuition fees must be paid one month before the course starts.
- Applicants who have been awarded scholarships by the Ministry of Education or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the application process takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks. Therefore, students must ensure that they have sufficient funds to cover tuition and living expenses in Taiwan before the scholarship is disbursed.
